Arsenal Classics identity

Arsenal Classics is a new show for Arsenal TV, which showcases 'classic' Arsenal games and features players discussing the matches and history of Arsenal FC. Factory 311 asked us to develop the identity for the show.

The aim of the brief was to create a timeline style opening sequence where a camera would move past archive Arsenal footage and relevant typography. We used the touchline of the football field as a visual timeline. We start the opener with a close-up of a transfer wheel marker (chalk-wheel) creating the first line on a fresh pitch. After this we explore the rich Arsenal history by following the chalk lines along the pitch. All the chalk lines together form the Arsenal crest we see in the end.
